Warm up running problem

Hello,

We just bought a 72 Porsche 911 that looks like a 1990 but has a 2.7 CIS engine that appears to be from a 1976.

It starts right up but dies off again and again until the engine is warmed up. Once it's warmed up, it runs great.

Any suggestions as to where to start looking for this problem?

Leaking fuel pump check valve, a warm up regulator that's out of adjustment, a cracked air box, vacuum leaks?

You should search the items stlrj mentions. The WUR, AAR and vacuum leaks are probably the most likely items. does your airbox have a popoff valve?
