Help Wanted at Elephant Racing

Help wanted. A little forum latitude please moderators, it is a porsche related job.

I need someone to help in the shop, primarily doing product assembly and shipping.

Secondary responsibilities include maintaining shop and equipment, and help preparing car and rig for race weekends.

Other responsibilities may be added based on the skill set you bring (project car work, suspension setup, etc).

The location is San Jose.

A full job description is here:

What a cool job. First time in a long time I wished I lived in CA. I don't suppose I could tele-commute from Seattle?

Yeah, I didn't think so...

Jeez, maybe I need to rethink moving back to SoCal, and move back to my hometown, good ol' San Jose? I think I can meet the requirements...

Dang! I'm perfectly qualified EXCEPT for the CA driver's license. The 733 mile (per Google maps) commute could be a problem, too.

lolo, my commute would be probably as bad as somebody from the UK
I have a CA license and background check should work out since I just got back into Japan after being finger printed at the airport! (Now, I know I'm not an illegal alien :P )

Off topic but slightly related: Anybody looking for connections in Japan? I live here and can help/partner Or better yet, bring me back home to the US! I'm contemplating a mid-life crisis job change

Man! This would be a dream job for me, but just like lee said a 733 mile trip and CADL would be a problem.

Dammit, I'm quitting my job! At least I have family to (hopefully) stay with close to San Jose so I won't have an insane mortgage to worry about. Don't know about the cold weather there though

Can operate a mill & lathe, can weld (TIG), but no CADL...will HDL suffice?

Sorry, not available by about three years. Lived for 38 plus years about 3 miles from your location in Santa Clara. Will probably see you in the next thirty days for some info and purchase some parts. Chuck would be a great one to work with and has some great product.
