I have a very interesting problem. I am reassembling my car after a paint job and I have made it to wiring the lights with no problems. Now for some unknown reason if I turn on my headlamps, my fog lights come on also. Regardless of the position of the fog light switch. I switched relays...that checked out OK. According to the bentley wiring diagrams, the circuits look to be completely independent except for the feed from the headlight switch? Any Ideas?

Trace the wiring back and see if someone didn't rewire things to make the fogs work with the headlights. They should come into the luggage compartment from the fogs and plug into 2 two pronged plugs, one on either side of the luggage compartment. The wiring is independent, but the fogs will go off if the headlights are turned off, so the fog switch may be stuck "on" (or shorted somewhere).
Hope this helps. Nick. ------------------ _ _ __ _ _ Nick Shumaker 1982 911SC Coupe nickshu@yahoo.com PCA -- Rocky Mtn. Region |
