How can you tell which rod is which ?
I have a few sets of rods that I aquired recently. From what I understand the # on the beam does not determine the application. If not then how do you tell?
Here are 2 of the beam #'s im trying to identify. 911.103.103.0r 911.103.105.0r Can anyone offer some input? Kurt ![]() ![]() ![]()

I would venture to guess: measuring and comparing results to specifications....
The numbers are casting numbers and not part numbers from what I understand but that's where my wisdom ends.

+1 on ischmitz. You might want to post this on the engine forum - I seem to recall reading over there that original rods weren't marked to indicate weight group and thus would need to be measured (but replacement rods would have been marked).
