There was a pretty long thread on this a while back. This was one of my favorites:

My track wheels will be done this way, I just got my RSR finished Rota foxes on yesterday for street tires, but black for the track looks the business.

Thanks for the picture. I can't seem to find that thread. Any help? That car missing that 80's tail and those white rings around the caps would be ideal.

I'm flatter that is my car, but i havent' completed my fuchs yet....here is the thread, i'm in there somewhere.....i've painted my 7x8x15 track wheels all black, but the paint kept chipping on the rims......i know that tires being installed on the poor paint adhesion would have chipped them more, so i sanded just the rims only...this is what i'm staying with for now

...here is the link you were discussing

I was thinking about having mine powder-coated for durability. The paint route seems to be the quickest option, but I am afraid I will be a little too anal about chips.

definitely go powder coat then...i polished and painted my 6/7s, and they are holding up great, but the paint is not in an area for chips....paint on the rim will for sure get chipped, so if you are anal, powdercoat them imo...
