Post 1976 911s braking

The braking is not good. I don't know what pads are on now. Is there a pad upgrade or system upgrade available that anyone has experience with?

with some effort, you can install power brakes from a later car. requires sectioning in the sheetmetal that the booster/master cylinder attaches to, replacing the pedal assembly, and running a tube for engine vacuum. you need a donor car at a boneyard. not a real easy job, but it really improves braking.
