1985 Carrera Transmission fluid level

Does anyone have a drawing on how to check and change oil on a 1985 Carrera 3.2L

Thanks Gary

I don't really understand your question...but maybe I'm dense.

The 915 box used in a 85 Carrera gets filled only as high ( naturally !) as the side mounted fill port allows. Uses a 17 mm recessed hex plug that requires the same sized allen key. "Full" is when your finger senses fluid just "at" the lower portion of the opening. Obviously anything higher will spill out.

You needing a pic ("drawing") of the tranny drain and fill plugs?
Will pretty much laid out the simple level check of the tranny fluid (full)!

Best,

Well... let's not be too harsh ....some cars have transmission dip sticks and such. Not our cars, though. Seriously, there are a number of threads you can search on.... that highlight this area of the engine/trans with pics....should work.

On the subject of transmission oil, how often should it be replaced? I have about 10K on it now. Thanks.

Gary MAKE SURE you can remove the fill (upper) plug before you drain from the bottom one.
If not and the top plug is stuck, then so are you.
Meaning if you can't fill it, and you've drained it, you can't drive it!

Do you have an owners manual?

If not please use the search feature at the upper right of the page.
