Do you know the age of your tires?

I recently discovered this handy article on tirerack's wesbite that helps you decode the age of the tires on your car:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=11

I was surprised to find my front tires are 8 years old, and my rears are 5 years old, might explain some of the harsh ride I've been experiencing. I can't take the credit for this discovery, it was the "Puppy Love" article in "Classic Motorsports" magazine that gave the tip.
