BILSTEIN Rebuilding/Revalving program
Does someone used this service?
Are any 911 shocks made by Bilstein eligible? Thanks, Sergio |
I had the track car bilsteins revalved in 2002 by the factory service @ $55each. They came back revalved to my specs and looked brandy new. I was very happy with them. I got them fairly quick, maybe two weeks from the day I sent them. Look here for more info.

A lot of people have had them rebuilt/revalved by Bilstein and been very happy. |
I just ordered a set of Bilstein sports for my '82 SC. Should I keep the old shocks for a rainy day? $250 for a set of custom valved shocks seems like a great deal.

I have a set of rear non- adjustable mono-tubes packaged and ready to go, but I'm on the fence. Cost is $65 per shock to rebuild, plus the replacement cost of rubber bushings, and double shipping. I've seen new ones priced as low as $115 per, so not sure if its worth it or not....

it is worth it if you are running larger than stock torsions and looking to match the jounce/rebound characteristics to the springs (torsions)
If you are just going with stock, you are correct; having your car on stands for a few weeks is not worth it |
