The Plunge

Greetings all. This is one of my initial posts. A few months ago I asked to see all the golden colors and silver colors.

Well I deployed to Iraq and dropped my darling off at the best shop I could find in the Pac Northwest. Eurotech Bodywerkes, the best recommendation was the wonderful example Rdane keeps.

And so today Mark emailed me the first set of pics. Thank goodness I have 6 more months to go. It looks like a lot of work still to go.

BTW it is going to be arctic silver....I know its not period correct but I am looking for something a little more hotrod than classic.

These pics make more nervous than anything outside the wire.

Hey man, I'm in full support of your plunge, it's going to look great when it's done, silver is a great hotrod color for a 911.

By the way, stay safe out there.

Front Bumper

That is a fibreglass front bumper cover made by Fibrewerks. They have only a small add in Excellence.

Mark, my guy at Eurotech said the quality was good and fit was easily done.

I don't know. I still haven't seen it. I rotate out of here in July.

Nice thing to look forward to...

3 months and a wakeup.

I am starting to get short....

Will feel good to get back on a road where most of the people driving have some clue as to what "Rules of the Road" could be.

Car looks fantastic!

Thanks for your patriotism and service to the country. Hope you don't read some of the O/T threads on the forum, it can be quite disturbing.

Get home safe and enjoy driving the P car.

I am still waiting on a few things before I pick it up next month.

First the headlight rings and blacked out tail grate that covers the mesh will be painted the same silver as rest of car.

Finally Mark is going to custom cut some 996 running boards to fit. Or that is the plan...

He is very skillful. He also did Rdane's car which is splendid.

Seahawk---I also want to thank you for your service. Stay safe.
Your car looks smokin'!! Very unique set of bumpers, done tastefully.
Are those Carbon fiber mirrors? Sweet.

Mark,

Just sent me two more pics: Still no rocker panels but the headlight rings and tail are complete.
