New (to me) Sport Seats & carpet question
Got some sport seats on ebay and recovered them with an Iggee kit. Including shipping the whole shebang set me back about $350 but makes a world of difference on the interior. If for any reason anyone wants the old seats, they're available (located in DC). Huge improvement in support while cornering too.
I'm doing a budget renovation on my car and am considering getting the appbiz RS carpet kit and making my own door panels. I've heard its a difficult kit to fit but I'm reasonably handy and hardheaded. Anyone installed one themselves and have any advice? BEFORE ![]() AFTER ![]() INSTALLED ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Those Sport Seats are great. I backdated my 87 Carrera power seats to the same seats you have. They are light weight, super high quality, very supportive and look really correct in the cockpit of a 911. It is tough to beat the factory look. Most other seats frankly look out of place to me unless they are in a full on track car. Your seats were in much better condition than mine. I would have elected to dye the covers that were already there as opposed to recovering them, Regardless, they are one of the best upgrades I have made to my car thus far. I am eventually going to have an appbiz RS carpet kit fitted to my interior as well. I think it will be worth paying someone to do it right. As far as the RS door panels go, I bought those from appbiz too. They are high quality and I am completely satisfied. Good luck with your project. Mike |

+1 on the pay for installation. Carpet kits are never as easy as you think. I spent hours fiddling with a kit for an MG midget. I can't imagine tackling a roomy cabin like a 911.
