Adjusting clutch pedal stop

I removed my driver's floor board to replace master cylinder. I could not remove it because this crummy aftermarket POS was in my way. I KNEW it was not supposed to be there so I just took it off with out regard for where it was positioned. Well - after looking in the parts diagram I see it is the clutch pedal stop & is in fact supposed to be there. I searched this forum & Bentley but I could not find the proper way to adjust it. This is a long way of asking "How do you get it in the right spot?"

Actually, it is in Bentley in the clutch adjustment section. The whole process is sort of a "Measure it with a micrometer; mark it with a grease pencil; cut it with an axe" thing. Once you've adjusted the cable, it is used to adjust the pedal throw, 25mm, +- .5mm; if I remember correctly.

what I did was adjust the clutch freeplay from below, then have an assistant press the pedal to the floor while I measured the total movement of the arm below. Adjust the stop up or down to get the correct movement of 25mm on the arm below. Raising the stop will give you more total movement of the arm below, lowering the stop does the opposite.
