I give up, what color is this?

http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...e/DSCN0619.jpg '84 RoW model, PO says it's been repainted semi-recently. |
Look like Arena Red to me...a shade less than Rubis Red...BTW...very nice ride.
|
ah thanks, it all makes sense now.
|
kiln red? Not sure that Arena Red was available in those days

I retract my comment. It does look more like Arena Red. Kiln looks more pinkish (at least in the other pictures I checked.)
|
If it's been repainted then it could be any color... do you know that the PO had it repainted in an actual Porsche color?

Here is Arena Red on a Targa http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1167457234.jpg Lighting sure does change how some of the colors look. It does look closer than the Kiln, Ruby, and Garnet cars. |
My 81 SC looks like the same color, it is called wine red metallic.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1202580081.jpg

The original car posted is not arena red, arena red is darker and doesn't sparkle like that under direct sunlight like the rear 1/4 panel in the 2nd pic.
|
The 84 Euro from ebay. I wanted that car. Nice score !

Garage pic, might be the most "neutrally lighted" photo. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...hde/9cb8_3.jpg Supposed to have arrived in port a couple days ago, should be under my sweaty butt this week. |
When you'll get the baby...post the paint code...and verify at some hidden places (original color unpainted) if the new paint job color match the original one. In 84...Kiln code 811 and Ruby code 810 was availlable.

There is a pic of 84 Ruby Red in my garage if we can compare both...
