Post New in NE corner of Connecticut & looking for Porsche resources

Just moved from California to Connecticut (about 45 minutes East of Hartford) and am looking for a quality machine shop that does a lot of Porsche work.

Otherwise, anyone have any advice on where I might send my heads out if I need to ship them anyway? Anyone have comments on EBS Racing, Paul Wier's shop, or any other for that matter? I'm looking for qaulity work on a daily driver. Thanks.

Cool

Welocome to CT I am also in SouthEast
CT.... Work 10 miles south of Hartford.

Try these guys... They are the shop that is pictured on the 2nd edition cover of Bruce Andersons Handbook.

Automobile Associates of Canton
5 Albany Turnpike, Canton, CT 06019
(860) 693-0278

Stay away from Brians Machine shop in Windsor... I can get other contacts for you. Tomorrow night is a PCA meeting where I can check with the Tech Chairperson and get additional shops for you.

Welcome to the Northeast...

Please contact me if you are interested in a shop about 2 hours away from you that is known for building Porsche stock and race cars. Fabulous shop!

Hi Steve,

Sorry about my delay in responding, but my wife has been sick and I was not pating attention to the forum.

At any rate, I have been using Rick DeMan in Nyack, New York. He has been the only Porsche mechanic that I have trusted over the years. He is willing to sit and discuss everything about the car and any repairs that are needed. His shop, DeMan Motors, is a Porsche only facility that does impecable work. Talk to him about prices.. he is very fair, but the comfort level you get with him is unbeleiveble. His number is (845)727-3070... tell him I say hello.

Also, are you going to the Porsche meet in Hershey on April 21st. I am setting up a caravan from the New York City area and you are certainly welcome.

Marc
