Upper valve cover is a PIA to take off.....
My drivers side upper valve cover is a PIA to take off (and the engine isn't even in the car yet!!!). The way it comes off, there would be no way with it in the engine.
![]() 1.) the cover scrapes on the engine tin here 2.) this stud has 1-2 extra threads (I counted them) than the others 3.) this part of the valve cover "nub" really gets hung up. Without it, no problem ![]() Close-up of cover and Cam oil line. Does the cam oil line look ok, does it need to be adjusted? ![]() This is a picture of the crazy angle that I need in order to get the cover off. No way if it was in the car. Questions: Any ideas? - Should I bend the engine tin or dremel it (noted #1) - Should I do something to the stud (noted #2) - Should I remove the "nub" part of the valve cover (noted #3) seems like the easiest - Does the cam oil line need to be adjusted/bent? Other ideas? Thanks.

loosen the cam line banjo bolt, reposition cam line for clearance and tighten bolt. happens all the time on tuneups here. sometimes a slight bending job is in order.

Ok, that make sense. Is there a torque setting for this, or just "snug". Thanks John.
