Smoked cured valve covers

So......... I wanted to redo my valve covers, and I wanted to sand and buff the raised PORSCHE on them........ (my original post)

I stripped the covers, used a file on the letters, then black wrinkle paint (cured in the grill), then filled the letters once again

Then I applied a clear coat (to keep the metal from turning, and paint from raising (heat, oil, dirt, water, etc.)

Back to the grill to cure the high temp paint.......

guess the grill was a bit smokey........
