964 and webcam 103 / 104 cams and CIS
I've seen that the 964 cam works with the CIS. Can anyone tell me if a webcam 103/104 cam will as work with CIS , and or what I need to do to figure that out.
Love the webbers on the engine, but I'll give up a little if it would be easyer to start on cold NW mornings, which are everyday. Right now its a pain in the arse and my neighbors have just about had it with me warming up my car in the morning.

you may need to eyebrow cut the pistons- BUT where they need to be cut could be too thin. Also the reversion wave from the intake will make the cis run lumpy(not the case in your car= carbs) But the piston to valve clearance is the main concern
So my educated guess is not recommended John Dougherty (drcams) has some excellent grinds specifically for use on cis piston cars with carbs

If you already have the CIS it's worth a try. I read a thread on here where someone built a CIS engine with a radical cam just to try it until he could get some carbs. The engine ran fine that way. Give it a try and let us know.

I have 10:1 comp JE pistons in the car so the cams work great with those already. I just wanted to know if I would get that fluttery driving people talk about with high lift cams and CIS. I guess I'll just try it, what could go wrong???
