Removing e brake handle?
 

How simple is it to remove e- brake handle? I would like to re-paint the metal, as the paint has chipped away. Also side note, how do you keep the rubber boot from popping out of the hole when you put the e brake down. I keep tucking in under the carpet but it doesn't want to stay?

it's a big hassle

it _can_ be done with the seats still in the car but is no fun - search or scroll up my handbrake thread in the last 2-3days

for more use the search term handbrake - maybe 'emergency brake' would work too - I never tried that term.
