This is a friend of mine's car....it's been like this for a while. The headlight rings are blue, he installed them just to get through state inspection...ran without for a couple years.

Yeah, they aren't really holding back. I first heard about the car a few years back and think it is probably one of the better "barnfind stories" out there.

Porsche Rat Rod from beyond the grave

Great thread,

Here is one of my all time favorite rat rods. The first picture is of the 356 coupe as found in a junk yard and the second photograph is of the finished rat rod as seen in Denver a year ago. Below is the link to the the entire build story.

I think Rusty has added some "bomber style" decals to the rat rod but I haven't seen the finished product. One suggestion was to make a caricature of the Pegasus flying horse but with a flying pig and call it Pigasus.

Enjoy the link go Kustom Coach Werks. These guys are master craftsment.

Cheers,

Henry

Winning bid for the 912 abortion was $6350. I'd say that is twice what the car is worth.

Just came across this on a rat rod site and thought I'd share:

It's certainly interesting and I understand the intent. I would like to see the finished version.

Bristol - I'll bet that red rat rod will look like an E Type Jag on steroids when done. If you ever see the finished product, please post.

Funny how things get around in the car world....

-haven't heard from this thread in quite a while
-a good buddy sent me the link from Jalopnik early this a.m.

-I sent it to one good buddy

I bet I get this 2 or 3 more times in the next day or two....

Here's the RATrod link... Built on a Chevy dually truck frame. Thing is, I believe that IS the final version of the Rat !
