I had a motorcycle problem once where the coil would act up after it got warm.

[QUOTE=PatrickB There are services that will rebuild them and bench flow test them for much less than new OEM. I had little choice, as at the time this was my daily driver, and it would have taken some time to get them serviced.[/QUOTE]
Who did you use to rebuild your injectors? |
PatrickB,
I also would like the name of the vendor who does the rebuild/testing of the injectors? I have another 3.2 that I intend to keep and I would like to get the injectors done and taking time to get it done is not a big deal for it. |
I purchased NEW from our host, as I didn't have time to send them out and wait as this was my daily driver at the time. Use the search button here, or even put up a new topic for FI overhaul service.
This was 2 years ago for me, and I can't remember the name, but there was somebody in the SoCal area that did it for about ~$40 per injector. Problem was that at the time, they had about a 2 week lead time. I purchased from our host next day for about $100 each new. Bottom line is that if your injectors are 20+ years old, replacing them or servicing them certainly couldn't hurt! |
Well, since I have a dozen of them (possibly) to do, saving $60 bucks each for a rebuilt and checked out injector would appeal to me.
Being retired means lots of spare time and getting more cost effective...read that as cheap! |
