Post Raceware rod bolts and stretch distances

I was putting on my rods yesterday
with my Porsche mentor. We were measuring the stretch on the Raceware rod bolts and were having trouble reaching the optimum distance. After 105 ft/lbs, several bolts still had not reached the preferred stretch range. This is using an accurate gauge and measuring initial size and the resultant change after each torque increment (40, 50, 65, 75, 85, 95, and 105 ft/lbs).

Has anybody had similar experiences with
Raceware rod bolts? If you can not measure
the stretch, Raceware recommends only 65 ft/lbs. 105 ft/lbs is a bear to apply to rod bolts when the crankshaft is vertical resting on its flywheel.

Stock rod bolts only take 37 ft/lbs. I
will be calling Raceware on Monday.
