Boogs on low rpm acceleration, Help
I have webers on my 70 T (S pistons, Cylinders, E cam). When I push the throttle hard before the r's reach 3,000, the car boogs for a moment. Is this a sign that the main jets are too large? Or maybe the venturis?
Thanks in advance, Robo |
Need more information. Has it always done this or is it recent. What is the state of tune. More description and you will probably get lots of help here. Also you might do a search of the forum.

Engine and carbs rebuilt about 6,000 miles ago. Always had the boog. The webers are 40's with 30mm venturi, 135 mains, airs are 180, 55 idles. Timing and plugs 1000 miles ago, value adj 100 miles.

I don't know Weber's but someone should chime in. I'll give you a bump but change the title from "boogs" which should be bogs to "Hesitates on low RPM acceleration, weber carbs help please".

Sounds like it could be an accelerator pump problem?
If mis-adjusted, the pump(s) may be supplying either too much fuel at transition ...or not enough? |
