hood release not working on sc
 

what are the standard tricks for opening up a hood when the hood release is no longer working , the pull from inside the engine compartment is no longer opening the hood release....it is a 80 sc

Are you talking about the engine lid? This once happened to me when I adjusted the catch. Have someone pull up on the lid while you pull the handle. If it's just an adjustment that should do it. If the wire has snapped it's more involved I am afraid.

no i am talking about the front hood release, the wire has not snapped.
