Thanks to this BBS (early s man) I finally got around to making the adjustment on my 13 year old front Koni's. I collapsed the shock and was able to tighten them about 3 full rotations. They were so tight that I was having trouble extending it so I loosened them about 1/2 turn. Maybe not as much difference as I'd hoped but the car feels generally tighter and is more fun to drive.
On a side note, I really enjoyed the impact wrench which I needed to loosen the 22MM nut atop the strut tower. Of course I used it to loosen and fasten the lug nuts at warp speed. ------------------ Zach 77 911S 3.2 |

I have a 72 911 w\adj konis in the rear. I lost the adj. wrench. how do i go about adj. them in the rear. Do i have to loosen the shock and un-mount it from the the top?
What type of wrench is used. Thanks for any help |

If you have the kind that you can adjust with a wrench, it's mentioned in this previous thread that you can use pliers....?:
