Ignition/Starter Update #2

Well, I spoke to the shop this morning (my mechanic was not in), and they said the wires between the fuse block, the ignition switch, and the starter are fried. I don't understand how this could be, since the key still activates the starter and such. This was evidently determined by checking the wiring with a multimeter through the new ignition switch, and they said all the contacts are are giving a reading that suggests the wiring is melded together.

I asked if they checked the solenoid, but they weren't sure if the mechanic had got that far. If the solenoid was fried, or the solenoid contacts were melted together, would this give the same type of reading through the switch wiring? I told the shop to be certain to check the solenoid before going through the process of re-wiring everything.

Thanks!!

Hello

Just divide the engine wireloom connector and you can read out all wires separatley.

The cable from switch to bulkhead is also seperate and can be changed in 5-15 minutes.
