Winter melt

I park my DD next to the p-car. The problem is since I live in Omaha, I get a lot of snow and salt on my DD. This melts and runs under the pcar. I have a seem in the concrete that channels the water under the car. My questions are, is this salty runoff going to cause rust? What can I do about it?

I can't really change the grade of the concrete. Should I just try to fill the seem? Any other ideas?

Thanks

doubtful till you get the salt-water ON your pcar. standing water wont make much difference.

not much you can do about the atmosphere since the air inside and outside will mix everytime you open the garage door.

salt air would be a bigger deal if you live in a salt air envoment ALL the time. like near the ocean. dont think Omaha has that problem.

The 100% humidity atmosphere in your garage won't do the non-galvanized '71 any favors, but I don't see a way to avoid that ... except maybe one of those "car bubbles" or parking the DD outside. My wife and I both parked outside for the first 2 years of our marriage because I didn't want my old Firebird subjected to the snow runoff. It came to a sudden halt after that (surprised it lasted that long) - now she gets first dibs on a space, and the rest is my problem.
