Engine Code?
Anyone have the info on engine code 930/09?
It is in my 80 911 SC, which appears to be a Euro. The engine serial starts with 630..... Tel |
It's the engine for a 1980 ROW 911 SC, so yes, it's Euro. It comes with 188 hp and 265 Nm (NOT foot pounds) of torque, as opposed to the US model which had 180 hp and 244 Nm of torque. Your car also has a different compression ratio than a US model, and weighs 66 pounds less.

Ok i give, whats the torque difference?
I see an increase of 8 hp, and 66 pounds lees weight so more torque would be even better. I am glad to know that this is the euro engina as i was afraid it may have been replaced by a PO. I am about to pull the engine so I can see what kind of shape she is in(doing a repaint). Tel PS, Whats the opinions of the Euro spec versus the US spec SC? |
