phone dials on 911
I made a large bet w/ a former Brumos guy that phone dials were original, basic wheels on 1986 911s, and that the Fuchs were optional (though usually chosen). Am I screwed? I read somewhere that not until 1988 were the Fuchs standard equipment - is this right? Help! Big bucks at stake!

The phone dial wheels were standard equipment on the 3.2 Carreras until August '87. Source: Peter Morgan's "Original 911" book, and also the 1986 Carrera brochure, which I have, AND my original window sticker from my '86 Carrera. You win.

Yep, you win. My 1987 Carrera purchased in December 1986 (Christmas present) had Fuchs as an option. Every picture in my manual features Carrera 3.2's with "phone dial" wheels.

Thanks guys - if you're ever at the Dark Horse Tavern in Atlanta and Joe is bartending, you can help him eat crow!
