911 Question.
Greetings. Roadslayer here. semi-newbee.
Gotta' question. Last spring my '69 911T got on the road after a multi-mega-year restoration. After a summer's driving I blocked the car up for it's first annual cleaning underneath. I got a pretty good idea of where the dirt and mud is apt to collect. Foremost is the area in the forward part of the rear fenderwell. Of course you all knew this. Specifically the part forward of the oil cooler thermostadt where all of the plumbing meets up. You knew that too I'll bet. Seeing how I replaced the inner and outer rockers, door jam and quarters you can imagine how horrified I was seeing actual 'dirt,,,yes,,,dirt' collecting in the tight spot where my nice new bodywork all joins up. ![]() 'Cheers' Roadslayer |

Why not cutting a carbon-fiber piece , and installing it like on 964' models ?
That's just an idea.... |

I'd rather leave it open so I can at least get water in there to spray the dirt and salt out.

I'm not surprised to hear there's a carbon fiber piece to fit in there. If I leave it open my concern is getting dirt inside my nice new rockers. Horror of horrors.
