I used to work at TRE when this car was being built. It's a truly beautiful bit of kit...all it needs is for someone to return it to its original color, Tangerine!

Thanks Amir! I agree, this car would be spectacular bathed in Tangerine! I originally wanted to paint it silver, but later changed my mind. Tangerine would be absolutely stunning.

Question why are 356s outlaws and 911s are hot rods?

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

911Rob, I haven't figured out an EXACT asking price yet, but it'll be around what I paid for it. I wanted to offer it to a fellow Pelican before putting it on Evilbay.

If the market for streetable long hoods and original steel body parts keep at the current pace long hood hot rods will be called OUTLAWS in the next few years.

I've lost track through all of the reference threads... the price is going to be $17000 or so?

What was done with the original motor build? All new or simply a carb refresh? How many miles have been put on it?

chris.817 - I haven't decided on a price just yet.

As far as the motor, I don't believe anything was done to it besides the carb conversion and the carb refresh.

I've probably put less than 3000 miles on it since I've owned it, but I can't speak for the previous owners. The odometer reads 86,XXX miles, but does not work.

Hey Jim,

I remember you! Thanks for the compliment. I'm glad to see you still have your yellow beauty. It's a sad day for sure, but like I said before, I'll be back.

Hi Brian,

I've sold a couple of cars that were pretty cool, but I also like the hunt for the next one. There is always another one out there. You'll find it.

Cheers,
Matt

Thanks Matt and everyone here for your words of encouragement! I know this isn't the end of the road in my P-car journey and I look forward to sharing my future projects with you all!

Until then, pass the word along to anyone you guys know who may be interested. I probably wont have any updated pictures until next week due to rain. And although I haven't "officially" posted it up for sale, offers are welcome as I've already received a few.

Thanks again everyone!

-Brian
