Post Inoperative wipers

So I did my exhaust back dating and then my wipers stoped working...

the cigarette lighter works, but the wipers and the pump don't...

what's up?

I can't imagine the work to the exhaust did anything to the wipers..I did unplug the o2 sensor but that is it...

any advice?
is my switch bad???

thanks

MJ

I've had some intermittent problems with my wipers. My quick fix was to go in through the trunk and lubricate everything. It seems to have alleviated the problem, which makes me suspect that my motor might need attention in the future.

So my intermittents work...but the stalk on the steering column doesn't...so I guess I will have to pull it and check wiring...

it is wierd..after doing the exhaust back date...my washer switch is inoperative, and my rt front turn signal blinks but doesn't stay on when the head light are on???

what is with this electrical nightmare??

I know you have to disconnect the (-) when working on the car, and I did not, but I can't imagine shorting something???

Could it be a bad switch/arm assembly, or maybe a dying wiper relay (behind the gas gauge)?
