It is possible to go to a library and make paper copies of you fiche. A used reader should not cost more than $50.00. Check your local state surplus for auctions.

i bought one off of ebay several months ago... mine fits 4x6 'standard' size microfiches, including my '85 carrera microfiche. i'm assuming your parts one is the same size?

Check ebay, the manuals are for sale all of the time. However, check MyPorsche first, they are typicaly cheaper then the ones on ebay!

I also have the parts and the service manuals on fiche. I got my reader off EBay for $20. Works great. Its just a light bulb and some lenses, not much could be wrong with it assuming the tray assembly works.

One note though, the service manuals are standard format, but the parts manuals are "large" format. I had to cut mine to view them on my standard format reader. Works ok, but switching between them as you are trying to locate a part is a pain. Get a large format if you can find one.

Nick.
