Talk to any shop that repairs small electric motors (like the kind that power vacuum cleaners). If the one you find is like the one I know of around here, they will have a few huge drawers chock full of brushes and other small motor parts.

when you replace/rebuild the front blower motor (assuming you are talking about the front condenser blower), you might want to consider adding an in-line fuse to that circuit. There have been several cases of 911's going up in flames due to those motors going bad, since they are not fused from the factory.

world pac sells the motor only,(no fan), pretty reasonable. get it thru a shop that deals with them. they are wholesale only to those with an account.

I am interested in getting one of these motors. What would reasonable be? I just priced out a new one and just about vommited when I heard the price($1000+ CDN). My whole motor looks worn. For a reasonable price I'd prefer to replace it then fix it and then end up replacing it shortly anyways.

My fan is rubbing (the one that comes on only with the AC) and I'd like to take a look at it. The Haynes manual is useless for this task. DOes anyone know the way to get at it?
