Post insurance... again

Insurance update; see http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/Forum3/HTML/004987.html

I think I have figured out a way to drive my Porsche. I got a quote for my Dad for a motor trader policy, saying that he was a private classic car trader (not far from the truth) and the quote came back at £660. This allows him to drive anything with cover up to £7500 value of the car and £1,000,000 third party stuff.

There was also an option to insure another named driver, i.e. me, I think this will be considerably less than the £1500 I have been quoted before. Will keep you posted.

There was this funny thing on the quote about how cover was reduced to 3rd party only for certain exotica... it read like a wish list; Ferrari, Porsche, De Tomaso, BMW M series, Bentley, Lamborghini etc!

I figure that 3rd party cover is acceptable, don't intend on leaving it anywhere and would prolly cover cost of any repairs ourselves. Whaddya think?
