External Hard Oil Lines - How to bend your own?
So I am at the part of needing to add an external oil cooler to a car that has never had one (thus need *all* the equipment). Which brings me to the hard lines............
Can anyone offer the measurements to take to a tube bender to have a set made? Watching/researching threads I see expensive oil lines bought, hard lines fabbed with various plumbing parts (shout-out to my friend Tim), and various soft line types. The base material for the hard lines is not expensive. Those who have had hard lines that needed to be repaired made measurements and took those down to a tube bending shop........ Not being my area of expertise (just guessing here), can't a base set of measurements (length/angle) be given to the bender (like a recipe) and have a set of tubes made? If so, anyone willing to offer the "recipe"???? Thanks . |
It's better to have a set to copy from.
