A/C delete Question
I am thinking of removing my rear A/C condensor, the one attached to the rear hood grille. I could not find any threads commenting on this.
My question is if I remove this condensor will the grille allow tons of rain water and dirt into the engine it bay as it currently appear the condensor is the main thing keeping this from occuring. |
I have removed mine and haven't had any problems. Of course rain has not been a problem as we have forgotten what it looks like, as far as dirt getting in your air filter will stop it from getting into the engine.

The water and dirt still flows through the condensor. You wont have any more than before. It will however let more airflow through and run a little cooler which is great
|
Thanks for the input. I will remove it and store it with my compressor.
|
I pulled mine out too and the engine definitely runs cooler. I've driven in the rain with no issues.

Before air conditioners were invented, 911s had engine grilles.
