Pic request - heater lever contact

Under my e-brake boot there is a loose switch attached to two yellow wires. The car is an '83 911SC with manual heat. The part # on the switch is 911.613.525.00 - heater lever contact.

Does someone have a pic of their e-brake / heater lever assembly with the boot off that shows the positioning of this switch?

Does anyone have a pic of their e-brake / heater lever assembly with the boot off that shows how this switch is mounted?

Thanks!

Sorry, I can't help, but I'd love to see a picture as well. Mine quits working every once in a while and only works after a good shot of compressed air. Hope we get a picture soon!

Is your switch still in tact / mounted? If so a picture of it's orientation to the heater levers would be great... mine is just laying loose under the boot.

As far as he switch itself goes, it looks very simple... there are two contacts, one for each heater lever that I'm guessing activate (not sure what, blowers?) when the levers are raised. Maybe try cleaning the contacts with some electrical cleaner or very fine sand paper. Failing that, a new switch is $31 from our host.

rw229: When you raise the levers, that switch turns on the heater blower mounted on the engine.

I just have mine off since I just replaced a cable.

Hopefully these pictures help.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1204634020.jpg
