Identification help.

Can someone please help me to understand these numbers on my engine.

911/85 and *6274438*

My book shows this to be a 1977 2.7 liter 911S engine. The second number is the serial number. It's number 4438 out of about 6000 engines.

That's the engine type number, which is what he used to identify it as a 2.7 911S engine.
