Spark plug question:
Just about to change the plugs for the first time on a 1986 Carrera 3.2 that is a Euro version engine.
Any advise on what's currently the best spark plug to use or is it the same as the USA cars? BTW, car is used just for normal driving...no track or DE time. Thx |
I like plain old copper, with a dab of copper based antiseize. Porsche reccomends against the antiseize, BTW. Alas, sometimes I prefer my own judgment.

Not sure whether Euro spec makes a difference in plug choice but in the Norh American 3.2 the consensus seems to be NGK BPR6ES.

Same plug U.S. and Euro: BPR6ES

While Checking my Plugs I discovered I had the 4 Pronged Bosch Plugs seems to burn consistantly and no adjustment needed.

Thanks guys.
In the manual that came with the car someone had marked the NKG plug that someone mentioned (BPR6ES) along with NKG BPR8ES. Got any ideas why both the 6 and 8 was noted? Also DRACO, is your car a Euro version engine? |
