Rota tire size?
hi. i have an '87 Carrera and i am about to purchase some Rota rs style wheels. my question is am i able to fit 275/40 r17 on the rear? if so will i need steel braided oil lines and re-working of the quarter panels for them to work? thanks for the help

Depends heavily on alignment settings, and manufacturer of the tire.
negative camber will help you with fender clearance. Toe-in will affect oil line clearance. Each tire manufacturer makes their tires dimensionally different for a given tires size, so it simply can't be assumed that a certain tire size will fit. I will tell you this. I fit 275/40/17 tires under the rear of me SC flared car on 10" wide Lindsey Racing 2 Piece Fuchs, and I know of many who have fit that size tire in Hoosiers, (which run very wide) on 9" rims with no issues. But the commonality is that we were all running at least 2.5 degrees negative camber.
