Cool Fuchs toothbrushes?

While wandering the aisles of the local health food store last night with my girlfriend, I spied a batch of Fuchs brand natural bristle toothbrushes. I said something like "Hey, that's who makes the wheels on my 911!" to her, and she looked at me like I was crazy. So I picked up one of the packages, turned it over, and sure enough, it said "Made in Germany". Is it possible that our fine wheel manufacturer is tied in to the German toothbrush cartel, or is it just a random coincidence...?

Wink

http://www.internatural.com/1BC/1BCDENTAL3607.cfm those brushes?

hmm, i'm not 100% sure. the word "Fuchs" means "Fox" in German. it's a VERY common company name. there may be a connection, but i am guessing that there isn't. if you look through a German company listing for the word "Fuchs", you'll get about 3,000 companies with it in their name.

if you want to look for yourself:

okay, someone answer this for me. What is the correct pronunciation of Fuchs.
Is it "Fox"? I know a man with a last name fuchs and it is pronounced fox.
or is it "Fukes", or "Fewks"?
I always assumed it was Fox because of the little fox stamp on the back and because the guy I know that pronounces his last name fox when its spelled fuchs. Kinda stupid question but one I've wondered.

Cool

"Fuchs" is pronounced closer to the "fewks". at least that's the way that the people in Western Germany say it. you also must remember that just as the US has local dialects and pronounciations, Germany does too.

Does the toothbrush have a little fox-head logo on it? When I posted a while back asking if genuine Fuchs wheels had any identifying marks, some smart member replied there was a little fox-head TM stamped inside. I took off a wheel, cleaned off the brake dust, and sure enough.....there was a *very* tiny fox-head logo.
