Wevo precision shift coupler....

Hi guys !!!

Just to share my experience about the Wevo precision shift coupler i have installed yesterday :

- first , my factory shift bushing were completely out of order , like you can see on the pics , and were just 7 years old.... (changed in 2001')

So , after having installed the Wevo parts , i was really surprised by the new sensation of the shifting....like if it was a new gearbox , with a short shift kit installed !!!!!!!

Time taken : 15 mn
No others parts to dismantle.

Really a great part !!!!

Cedric.(who is haaaaaaaappy !!!):D

Cedric,

I've been thinking about buying this coupler so it is good to hear that you like it and that the installation was quick. What model year did you put it on?

Hi Oly ,

My 911 is a 86' model.

Are they really worlds better than new bushings in a well lubed old coupler?

I installed a Wevo coupler on my 82 SC with excellent results.

The original factory part , even with new bushing , is not as precise as the Wevo part , just because of the building process , very precise on the Wevo .
This system won't need to be checked in the future to replace AGAIN the bushings , or will last more longer.

I changed mine along with their short shift kit. Night and day difference (I wrote a testimonial about it - you can probably dig for it in the archives here if you're so inclined).

Their stuff is absolutely top-rate. It was simple to install (although it takes a while), straightforward and built like a tank. My only regret is I only got to drive the car a tiny bit after the installation before I tore the CIS and electrical systems apart! Can't wait to get back to driving it!
