Post 930S oil cooler on an SC

is this a possible conversion.

I may buy this piece off someone.
the cooler looks square instead of rectangular like the carreras...any ideas?
is it less efficient because there is less cooling area?
there is a fan...so...

thanks

MJ

Don't know about the fit, but a previsou post has stuck in my head regarding used oil coolers. About 2 or 3 months ago someone on this board got a used oil cooler only to find out it somehow contaminated his entire motor, resulting in a near complete tear down. Moral of the sotry, I would really have to trust the guy I getting the cooler from. At the very least take it to a shop to have it inspected, and buy new lines.

Does NOT sound like the 930S oil cooler pictured in the Automotion catalog! It looks just like the later 'radiator-style' cooler from the 3.2 Carreras!

yes those are the pics and that is the auction...

just wondering if this is feesible...then I can start bidding...and the minute some one like warren says it is great...it will be a bidding war..oh well, the guy gets free advertising...that is if warren agrees.

he wrote back and said it would fit fine, but that is the seller so...any opinions?

Well, the seller is incorrect about it being a 930S cooler if it has a 964 part number! I guess he thought '930S' would draw more bidders!

Maybe he can give you the dimensions overall with the fan attached, because I sure don't know if it will fit or not!
