Post Hawk house, buy redhead?

Has my sanity already left me down here in the Rub Al Khali? To do this, I gotta mortgage my house. Dang redhead is overweight but so sexy and she'll be mine for a relative song. I won't sell my P cars to do this, I promise. My last Ferrari was sold about 30 years ago and I have lived relatively paranoia free since then. But this redhead has only 15,000 miles and is a virtual virgin. Bright red with cream leather. Acres of cast aluminum and 12 cylinders. She's so young, a 91 model. To keep her, She'd consume more than a year's salary just to commit to me. Insurance? Weekends lost to her high maintanence? The lust is there. Should this be the last fling that drives me to a little hut in Bali to push a beat up 356 (closer to my own age) with a surrey top over the miniscule mountain roads in lotus land? Help, before this redhead drives me completely gaga.

This would be my last fling with a young Italian. It is lust I am sure. How long could it last. Is a 91 Tesstarossa a rewarding mistress? Is the passion worth it? Help!

From someone who has a thing for Italian women (3 of the last for girlfriends) I would have to say DON'T DO IT.

I suppose its personal preferance, but although the Italian women look absolutly stunning, they don't always perform so. Most are princesses and are very moody not to mention high maintence. But once again, I add, their curves and lines amazing....

Just keep in mind you're used to rugged german women with big hips and a sporty feel.
They aren't always as eyecatching (although still beautiful) but they do give you the ride of your life!

Either way, your introuble if your woman busts you!

(I don't think that the Italians are worth the pain in the ass anymore)

Dan - you've been around the block more than a few times. You know how high the cost of parts are and the frequency in which you will be replacing them. $2500 tune ups and $7000 doors.
If you have to hock your house to buy it what will you have to sell to maintain it?
You're building a 911 Tubo now - stay the course man!

Thumbs down

Before springing for a TR, you might want to check out what Sports Car Market or some of the Ferrari BBS's say about ongoing TR values.

From the above, the values of the TR as the 308 seem to be spiralling ever downward. 'pimp car' is SCM's usual term.

Maybe I should change professions...

Best,

Thomas

You know you're in a good shop when there are only 2 street cars on the racks, the rest race cars. I Love my (mostly) original '72S..I truely do. But 2 days ago, I was reminded that my ticket in life is in the nosebleed section. On the other rack was a beautiful redhead...mid 80's vintage, undergoing suspension improvements,as if she needed them? I looked at her rear end...GTO the emblem said. Gosh, I had a GTO in the 60's...but mine looked NOTHING like this girl. My GTO's (had 2...a '65, then a '66 with tri power) were faux Detroit stuff.

Oh well, I'll always be thankful for those who can afford such marvelous toys. Without those people, such toys wouldn't exist. IF I could afford this redhead? Ahh, I'd probably sell her, build a really nice early 911 hotrod, and invest the remaining $200,000 or so.

But...I couldn't keep my eyes off her...GAWD she was gorgeous!

Just buy it.
You only live once.

When was the last time your house got you excited? mmm...When? never I'll bet. ;-)

That is of course, if turning to the dark side of the force is the path you wish to choose.

Another Porsche would be a far better option. Or seeing as how in English an Aston Martin is, in my opinion, next to a Porsche a far better option.

Say ten hail-porsches before bed and see how you feel in the morning.

Thanks guys. You are right on. Those Italians are high maintanence and I hate that. Also, I realize that I really do prefer something more petit. The old 1300 Porsches were definitely anemic, but by the time they grew to be 1600 or 1800 they were fun to play with and gave good strong rides through daily conditions. Very pleasurable. Though I did relish the way Miura screamed at 4000 cc, the fraulein at 3000 cc was much more manageable from day to day and the pleasure ain ratio was superior to the sinorina. However, the leaner sinorinas in the 1600 to 2500 cc range were also easy to live with and sang so sweetly. They were really easy keepers. Early Ferrari 3000 cc felt just too heavy and pushed too much. They were too much of a handful in tight quarters. You raise the right questions and make me realize that a leaner easier to keep lady will make me happier. While my Italian sinorinas never cost me much money in upkeep, they absorbed all my time and energy. This one is too much of a Virgin for me to enjoy and I'd be afraid to blemish her. To have to treat her with kid gloves is quite depressing to me. It would be almost the same if I had a frauline that was such a virgin and was valued so highly. I would want to ride her too long and hard. That could be devasting, and cause financial anguish.

I don't intend to abandon my Fraulines. They are mature enough not to be too demanding and are eager to please. In their prime for me.
Yet, that siren calls. If I give her a go, it'll be just a brief affair and I must realize that going in. We men are just putty in when it comes to a red head.

Turbo projects are at standstill due to my locale. That 288 GTO is a super turn on and only astronomical entrance fees keep me away from one that can scream like that.

Yeah, you only live once, but to be a slave to a redhead? Maybe there is a pension somewhere inside for bondage.

I won't forget my lithe fraulines who are so good to me.

Oh God, help me.

Wink

Boy all this Testarossa talk... as Bruce "The Boss" sez:

"Well listen up stud
Your life's been wasted
'til you've got down on your knees and tasted

A redheaded woman
A redheaded woman
It takes a redheaded woman
To get a dirty job done"

I've been there, but I prefer brunettes!
