Center console 1982 911SC

I want to put new shifter in my 82 911SC. Are there some hidden fasteners in the center console assembly that keep it from coming off? I don't want to break anything. I've removed the obvious screws but it won't pop off. Thanks to anyone who can enlighten me.

IIRC, there should be two screws that are revealed when the back panel of the console is removed. Then, there is a third screw that is at the "base" of the console, in between the actual seats, by the defroster light. It's really difficult to get to, and I ended up cutting the carpet to get to it. Good luck with it.
