Post OEM-ID labels

Were there any bar code labels that were attached to the passenger side door jambs on 88 Carreras?

As I recall, a factory sticker with the VIN# should be on every panel somewhere. A good way to tell if parts were replaced due to a collision.

The wheelwell test is also a good one; feel for the factory textured paint along the bottom of the lip. No texture, replacement fender. This does not apply to the 993, however.

My '88 does have a very faded (to the point of being unreadable) bar code sticker on the passenger side door jamb, although I don't know what information it was to convey.
