Will H-5's fit my '85 Carrera?

I'm frustrated at the cost and rarity of H-4's and H-5's seem to languish here what's the story? They appear to look identical but obviously something is up.

Thanks,

Scott

H5 sucks real bad.. all 964 owner are trying to ditch the H5 and get H4 hence the price difference (supply/demand)

Seriously I've had a 911 with H4 is and much, much better than the H5 I currently have on the 964...

They will fit but you need to replace the plug end with an H 5 plug end. The main diff is light brightness. The H5's are not very bright.

And the extra kicker:
The dimness is really punched up by the horrible beam pattern that tosses the little bit of light they do produce all over so you can't even see straight ahead...
