Muffler gasket sizes?
I have a set of B&B heat exchangers and the B&B muffler but I need the gaskets that goes in between the two. None of the gaskets in the Pelican catalog have the sizes listed.
Anyone know what gasket is the correct size? (I would really prefer one with a metal crush ring...) I'm wondering if it is possibly #911.111.191.01?

I can only advise about the stock, 3.2 muffler gasket. If I remember correctly, a 2-1/2" header collector gasket will work. I used them for testing purposes when I was developing some new tensioner tools. I was having to run the engine without the rear covers and I had a 2-1/2" collector that I adapted for the exhaust to run straight from the Cat. I can't say about the B&B products. I did this while waiting for the real OE gaskets to arrive.

The collector on the B&B is basically a 2.5" id flange. It measures as 62mm id pipe with a 62.5mm id hole in the flange. The bolt circle measures 3.27" which works out to an 83mm bolt circle.
Does this match the 911.111.191.01 gasket or any other gasket in the parts catalog? Really wish that there were still parts books with dimensions in them...

Hi, I have some in my tool chest in the shop. I will check in a bit and let you know. These are the factory 3.2 gaskets. I will mic them and get back shortly. Tony.

Wayne, I just measured a couple of factory part# 911 111 191 01. These are Porsche dealer parts, not PP, or other web part handlers. The ID is 66mm, and the bolt spacing from outer edge of bolt hole to another the same way is 85mm. They are designed as crush type gaskets, being they have a metal surface on both sides, with the metal crush ring area around the opening. These have no exposed fiber type gasket material, all metal surfaces. All of the fiber material is enclosed in the skin of the gasket. Hope this helps, Tony.
