Stereo shop in Bay Area?

Did a search with no luck.

As much as it's a step in the wrong direction in terms of weight, I would like to put a basic stereo in the Carrera 3.2. Any recommendations for shops in the Bay Area (ideally east bay or peninsula) to do the install? I'm not looking to do anything complicated at all, just an Alpine receiver with hard-wired ipod input and a pair of 6.5" components in the doors. I know of Frank's of Berkeley and they do good work but are very expensive. Other suggestions?

TIA,

Derek

I use Rod Birch. He's a 911 guy. Explore his site.

sometimes he collects a group of stops around Calif and hits the road for a week or two at a time doing installs. At least call him. You won't be wasting your time.

He's the guy that designed the sub woofer that sits behind the 911 seats on the floor.

AS Ron said, go with Rod Birch. He's worth the drive to Sacramento IMO.

Your own garage?

If you're just going simple, taking it to a stereo shop is a waste of money. It's a couple hour job that is far from difficult. I hate electrical things and wiring in general, but I've installed stereos in both of my cars.

speed-o-tach in concord

had some diagnostic and repair work done on a (non-pcar) OEM stereo and was very satisfied with them.

Hope this helps
