Best Mounting for Mountain Bike on a 911

Has anyone successfully mounted their bike on their 911?

Is there a roof rack out there that works, or (dare i say it) is a tow bar and tow bar bike rack the only solution.?

it depends on what year 911 you have

if you have a coupe with rain gutters i would look into either thule or yakima.

they both make racks that will mount to the rain gutters and you can get bike mounts as well as all kinds of other cool stuff.

if you have a targa like i do you technically can also mount the raingutter type racks to it as well but i have never been comfortable with the idea. any one ever done this or have another solution?

if you have a newer 993 or 996 porsche makes a factory rack.

I use a standard Yakima gutter-mount on my '79, 48" round bar, the long aluminum channel for short roofs. Held at 150+mph, whoopeee! (use bug covers)
